Perceptions shift here – pulled from the background into the fore, a mirror that takes on new dimensions. An oversized piece created and finished by hand, with the distinct maker’s mark a final, flourishing touch.
With a resin mould base, a polymer plaster is then applied in layers. Irregular brushstrokes are used, ensuring the off-white plaster finish is textural and visible on all exposed sides. After each coat, the plaster is cured by fan-drying, repeated up to three times to achieve the desired depth and strengthen the surface finish.
