Tradition in the interior story.
Crafted from century-old timber, the piece carries a sense of history within its material – a surface shaped through time as much as by hand. Its fully rippled form creates a continuous field of movement, bringing depth and rhythm to the object.
The timber is cut into planks and kiln-dried to stabilise the material before being assembled into boards. Both the perimeter and surface are hand-chiselled, carving grooves across the entire table before being sanded back to expose the natural grain.
A process of sanding and staining is repeated in layers, building tone and depth within the timber. Made by a single woodworker over 12 weeks, the piece reflects a deliberate and considered approach to craft.
