The centre of conversation.
Trace the evolution of nature to hand to home with a sculptural coffee table to gather around. Made to order from 100 year-old timber, the centrepiece where knees touch, personal objects are on display, and tales from all corners of the globe flow.
Timber collected from century-old logs is run through a 1950s saw machine and cut into planks. Dried in the kiln for seven days to reduce moisture content, the oven doors are then opened and left to cool for another two days. Planks are assembled into boards before being manually carved for eight weeks using a traditional chisel, etching the surface on all sides to create the distinct markings. Each groove is individually sanded and stained up to four times, ensuring the timber fully absorbs the stain’s colour before finishing with a seal. This is a signature piece of the Maui Collection, created by a single woodworker over a total period of 12 weeks, and designed to pair with the Maui Dining Table and Maui Console.
