Art or object, sculpture or tool, a sconce for the storyteller and the tastemaker. Clasping the wall in all its hand-moulded beauty, not perfectly symmetrical, but immersive in its individuality and rugged texture.
Delicately hand-sculpted, the resin mould forms the base of the sconce. To achieve the off-white colouring, a polymer plaster finish is applied – hand-brushed onto the mould, then massaged with up to four coats per piece. A final light sanding creates an even-textured surface that remains resplendent with individual intricacies.
